Musings after watching the movie 'The Shape Of Water'

We always imagine God in His overwhelming grandeur – all powerful, incomprehensible, and distant.
But when he decides to reach out to us in all his humility – stripped down, gullible, and human; descended to our earthly domain to live amongst us, for us to understand him and comprehend his purpose; we are so misled by our misconceptions and so caught up in our chase that we remain oblivious to his subtle touch and his unrushed presence.
What a tragedy!

Paraprosdokian, or is it?

During the nastiest storm,
even the mightiest tree might be uprooted.

The grass around turns greener.

On James Rhodes

Every sinew in his arms and fingers, and every cell
are straining to create those exploding notes.
They are exalted, and let free
into the farthest dimensions of the universe
in the splendor of that music.
